Well I know it's been a little while since I posted but I've been busy working my booty off (literally!) and I found this amazing new workout that uses Kangoo Jumps...and let me tell you it was AMAZING! If you're in Minnesota and wanna try it out I highly recommend Kangoo with Kitty!
So my experience with Kangoo jumps was amazing as I said above but what you really wanna know is if I fell on my face right? Well guess what!? I didn't! It did take about 10 minutes or so to really get used to the boots but after that it was GO time. I loved it and it really gave me an amazing workout that I cannot wait to get again. I'm definitely NOT a runner but with these boots I would totally become a Kangoo runner. One thing I didn't do but should've done is bring some long socks to prevent rubbing on my calves. Other than that it was SO MUCH FUN and a GREAT workout!
Update on my progress:
Well currently I am down 7.6 pounds and I feel so good! I cannot wait to keep going and get to my goal! The other workouts that I'm currently doing is Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30. I'm on week 4 of that DVD now. She really kicks my booty!

Music Motivates
If there is anything I've learned about working out (besides the moves) it's the MUSIC that makes the magic happen for me. I LOVE music. It can turn my frown upside down, it can make you FEEL so good when you hear that beat in your heart.
Here are some tracks that I like to get my sweat on!

Getting My Mind In The Game
Well I've struggled with weight most of my life....wait no, ALL of my life. I remember looking at my school pictures from 2nd grade to 3rd grade and the change is so dramatic. In 2nd grade I look like this normal little girl....in 3rd grade I'm this cabbage patch doll looking child. I remember everyone saying that I would grow out of the chunkiness once I hit puberty. Well...puberty came and went and I never really slimmed down. Moving on....
After the birth of my first child (2002) I topped out at a whoppin' 240 pounds. I was unhappy of course. Because let's face it, who really is HAPPY being fat? I mean yes, I've been "happy & fat" but not truly happy with myself. I remember waking up one day and thinking 'This is it. I'm going to change my life.' That's when I started walking on my mom's treadmill for 15 minutes a day. That's all it took for my full figure to start to change. Once I lost some pounds I became more energetic and started doing 20 minutes, then 30 minutes etc. Until I became so 'obsessed' if you will, that I joined a gym and worked out about an hour a day. I felt SO GOOD.
Moving on....
So in 2010 I had my second child and since I was thinner I was more conscious of gaining weight although I did gain about 30 lbs. As soon as I could I started working out again...kinda. I tried to get back down and I came close to my pre-pregnancy weight but then I got comfortable and lazy and tired from being a new mom once again. 8 years in between children is HARD.
So now I'm HERE needing to lose about 50 pounds or so to get back down to my goal weight. I've been wanting to lose this weight for a long time BUT I just haven't had the right mindset until NOW. September 23, 2014 is when I started working out again and CARING about how I look in my skin.
I want that body I had back then and darn it I'm gonna get it! I hope you will join me in my journey (once again) to get the body that I want.
